Police will Use QLUE Application to Unravel Traffic Jam

The launching of Smart City application by Jakarta Provincial Government is welcomed by all elements, including the City Police that admit will use the application to parse traffic congestion in the capital city. Moreover, the QLUE application in Smart City application is believed would ease police’s task in following up on public complaints.

“For example, there is something happened somewhere and the residents reported it. With this application, our men in the fields can know it, give respond, and take action quickly,” stated City Police Deputy Chief Brig. Gen. Nandang Jumantara, at City Hall, Monday (12/15).

According to Jumantara, traffic congestion is one of the problems to be responded quickly through the implementation of QLUE application. Police officers will be ready going to the location after the citizens reported about traffic congestion through the application.

City Launches Smart City App

“If traffic congestion occurred, the color is red (on google maps). Later, our officers will follow it up so the color would soon be green,” he said.

For information, QLUE application is social media with real-time complaint aspiration’s delivering. This application can be downloaded for free via Android-based smartphone. Through QLUE, the citizens can report occurrences in form of text and images. These reports are then digitally mapped and integrated with Jakarta Smart City system.
